The first movie came out back in 1995 which is 30 years ago. Its amazing and I hope the the real balto and movie's legacy will continue to live on! I also made this poster similar to the 30 years of Toy Story that came out earlier this year!

In the film Steele showed the 7 Deadly Sins
Pride: He believed he was the best, and this entitled him to do what he wanted, and could bully Balto.
Avarice: Steele flaunted a solid gold dog collar he won by cheating and wanted fame and glory to himself.
Lust: He enjoyed the company of female dogs, and the admiration from others, and was obsessed with Jenna.
Envy: He was jealous of Balto for surpassing him and having Jenna.
Gluttony: His main motivation for pulling the medicine through was it would make him a hero and add to his fame and popularity, so it was more out of selfishness than anything else.
Wrath: He was angered when Balto came to help, and that Balto's help would steal his fame. Worst he sabotaged Balto's trail out of spite even though it would mean his own team would die in the wilderness, but the children would die as well.
Sloth: He cheated to win a race, which means he probably didn't train as much as others. Additionally, when he returned to Nome, he didn't do anything but lounge around lazily telling false stories of surviving enjoying his popularity and fame of being a "hero". Until Balto returned and finally exposed him and he lost his fame and popularity and would be viewed as a disgrace for his lies and abandoning the team and medicine.

After Steele was abandoned and mistreated by the other dogs of Nome, how do you think his confrontation with Balto would be:
OPTION A
STEELE: That does it, wolf-dog! I've had it with you!
BALTO: You don't understand, Steele--
STEELE: I don't understand? I DON'T UNDERSTAND?! YOU don't understand. The other dogs of Nome hate me now. They'll never love me again, let alone listen to me when I try to apologize, and it's ALL YOUR FAULT!! So maybe they WILL love and listen to me again, when I... KILL YOU!! (chases Balto all around the city before finally cornering him to a lever that would lead to the bully's possible demise)
OPTION B
(after cornering Boris, Muck and Luck to lure Balto to him)
STEELE: You seem surprised to see me, wolf-dog. I can't imagine why. I wasn't about to let you get away with what you did to me. You humiliated me, wolf-dog, and you should realize that I really can't let you live now.
BALTO: (whispering to his three friends) Run. (once they do, he uses his front paw to throw snow in Steele's face, temporarily blinding him and giving himself time to run away)
STEELE: (after shaking the snow from his face) Ah, you're gonna try and outrun me. How droll. (chases Balto all around the city before finally cornering him to a lever that would lead to the bully's possible demise)

Yes, the animated film was made in Alaska in 1928. Alaska became a territory of the United States and became the 49th state within the next 31 years!

She has blue eyes like him
I’m a fan of Balto (the first film only as it’s a masterpiece with amazing animation and pacing. The other films, which include Balto II: Wolf Quest and Balto III: Winds of Change, are very much atrocious and halfwitted), and decide to visit this wiki for a limited amount of time.
Also, decided to share this very dark deleted scene I found for the film:

My brave sled dog hero friend, Balto saved Nome, Alaska with the help of the brand-new antitoxin medicine throughout the cold and chilly and freezy and frozen and icy and windy and snowy and fierceness and hatred and maliceness winter of January 1925 within the 20th century. Balto saved Nome, Alaska with the help of the brand-new antitoxin medicine throughout the 1925 North American January winter because something meant that he had to look kinda like my top favorite main reason why I like the sled dogs and the sled dog mushers and their races. The legend of Balto began in Alaska throughout the cold and chilly and freezy and frozen and icy and windy and snowy and fierceness and hatred and maliceness winter of January 1925 within the 20th century. It was snowing hard and dangerous. It had to be back when the fastest and most reliable way of getting around was with teams of dogs pulling long sleds while they ran really fastest throughout the January winter snow. All their races with held every year to find out which team was the very bestest team and the competition was very fierce to them during over and over again.
